Organisationen\u00a0Dansk Folkehj\u00e6lp <\/strong><\/span>er stiftet i 1907 af malersvend Frederik Hagengaard. Han oprettede dengang Arbejdernes Samariter Forening efter en arbejdspladsulykke i K\u00f8benhavn, hvor et stillads styrtede sammen under ombygning af Cirkusbygningen.Det begyndte som en samariterforening og endte som en humanit\u00e6r hj\u00e6lpeorganisation, som i dag l\u00f8ser mange opgaver b\u00e5de nationalt og internationalt.I 1934 stillede ASF krav om en uddannet samarit p\u00e5 hver arbejdsplads. Dette krav er dog ikke lovgivningsm\u00e6ssigt opfyldt, men p\u00e5 mange arbejdspladser er der i dag uddannede sikkerhedsfolk og samaritere.I 1940\u00b4erne begyndte man at organisere ferielejre for b\u00f8rn, og i 2001 deltog ca. 1000 fysisk, psykisk eller socialt belastede b\u00f8rn p\u00e5 disse lejre.Endvidere har n\u00e6sten 10000 b\u00f8rn fra omr\u00e5der, som blev ramt af Tjernobyl-katastrofen i 1986 nu v\u00e6ret p\u00e5 ferieophold i Danmark.I 1950 startede man hj\u00e6lp til flygtninge fra Ungarn, og siden har det internationale hj\u00e6lpearbejde udvidet sig med rivende hast, s\u00e5ledes at organisationen i dag er engageret i\u00a0Afghanistan, Sydafrika og Uganda.\u00a0Den 23. oktober 1993 stiftedes p\u00e5 initiativ af ASF Dansk Folkehj\u00e6lp en s\u00f8sterorganisation i Moskva \u2013 Center for Folkehj\u00e6lp Blagovest.<\/p>\nDe seneste \u00e5rs udvikling i aktiviteterne b\u00e5de nationalt og internationalt kan ses p\u00e5 hjemmesiden:

Dansk Folkehj\u00e6lp,\u00a0St. Merl\u00f8se\u00a0Afdeling <\/strong><\/span>blev stiftet p\u00e5 en generalforsamling den 3. marts 1940, hvor man fastsatte kontingentet til 50 \u00f8re om m\u00e5neden. Man lejede et lokale hos en lokal t\u00f8mrer for 3 kr. om m\u00e5neden, og man overlod til bestyrelsen af vedtage love for foreningen.Af andre finurligheder fra protokollerne gennem \u00e5rene kan n\u00e6vnes, at kassebeholdningen i 1941 var p\u00e5 19 kr. og 5 \u00f8re, men s\u00e5 var ulykkesforsikringen for alle samaritterne ogs\u00e5 betalt, i 1942 var beholdningen faldet til 1 kr. og 70 \u00f8re + 49 m\u00e6rker \u00e1 50 \u00f8re og 10 m\u00e6rker \u00e1 25 \u00f8re.<\/div>\nDet har v\u00e6ret nogle \u00e5r med op- og nedture, medlemsm\u00e6ssigt, aktivitetsm\u00e6ssigt og \u00f8konomisk.Men det har v\u00e6ret kendetegnende for afdelingen, at der altid i sv\u00e6re situationer har v\u00e6ret nogle st\u00e6dige personer, der med egne erfaringer fra arbejdet p\u00e5 gulvet og i de faglige organisationer tr\u00e5dte til og hjalp afdelingen fremad igen.<\/div>\n
Afdelingens aktiviteter i dag er prim\u00e6rt socialt arbejde, ferieophold for udsatte grupper, samarittervagter ved forskellige arrangementer, undervisning i f\u00f8rstehj\u00e6lp og aktiviteter for at skaffe indt\u00e6gter til vort flagskib gennem ca. 25 \u00e5r, nemlig den \u00e5rlige sommerlejr for fysisk\/psykisk handicappede og socialt belastede b\u00f8rn og unge. En lejr som skaber kontakter og venner ud over den uge, som lejren varer, og en oplevelse med b\u00f8rnene, som vi virkeligt nyder og kunne unde andre at f\u00e5.<\/div>\n
